WHY are you here?
What’s your why? Why are you here? Why were you born? What are you meant to accomplish on this planet called Earth? Have you ever contemplated that question deeply?
You may or may not know that I have recently published a book, called ‘Living in the Flow’, which is a guide to discovering your purpose and value in this world. I was really amazed when I did my book launch and several other book talks, when I asked the audience, “Who here knows their life purpose?” or “Who here doesn’t know their life purpose?” that approximately 95% of people do not know their life purpose.
My friend, I have to tell you, the most important goal in your life is to find your life purpose and to live it fully, as early as you possibly can so that you live a wonderful, meaningful and purposeful life. When you get to the end of your life and leave this earth, hopefully, it is with a sense of fulfilment, a sense of contentment, a sense of satisfaction that you made a contribution that meant something while you were here. Otherwise, what’s it all for? It would have just been a waste of time.
In my book, I share that I never knew what life purpose even meant. In fact, I would often tell people that I get quite annoyed by the term life purpose because it was such an enigma for me, and this is why I am so passionate about this subject. I didn’t have a goal to write this book, it actually came to me in a dream, almost asking of me to write the book, and I will honour that.
For those of you who don’t know your life purpose, please, make it a priority to find it. Several years ago my mentor taught me that, “In your passion lies your God-given purpose.” This stayed in my head and like a seed wanting to germinate; it somehow guided me, through intuition, to find my life purpose. I want you to ask yourself, “What I am passionate about?” Also, think about what you are good at, what are your talents and gifts? How can you use them to serve the world in some way to make this place better and to make a difference one person at a time?
Remember purpose is less about what you want and more about what you give. It’s about adding value to others. When you move from that psychology of: ‘All about me, what am I acquiring, what I am winning?’, to ‘What I am doing, and serving, and giving to humanity, one person at a time; even in the smallest way, whether to people, animals or to the environment?’ Then somehow, someway, you are making this place better. My mentor John Maxwell talks about ‘Success versus Significance’. Success is all about me. Significance is all about others. Once you’ve have tasted significance, success will never satisfy you again, and that’s when you live with true contentment in your heart.
In 2015 I was really blessed to have met an incredible man, his name is Nick Vujicic. He is the man born with no legs and no arms. If anyone was brought into this world with the highest level of challenge regarding life purpose, you could say it is him. He is one of the greatest inspirations in the world. He has motivated and inspired so many individuals. To date, he is the person who has had the largest webinar audience of all time, with millions of people dialling in. This man was so despondent and in a state of despair when he was a teenager, that he tried to end his life. What life was he going to have without legs and arms? He didn’t even know if he would ever find a partner. Would he ever be able to get married? Could he ever have a normal job? It was through courage and persistence and working on himself and his mind that he became determined to understand WHY he was born.
Finding your life purpose is the most important goal you could ever strive to achieve. If you think of Nick Vujicic, and the enormous purpose he has today, serving millions of people, he is a true inspiration.
In my life, what helped me find my life purpose was the sudden passing of my brother. I said to myself, “What am I doing with my life?” It was the Silva Method exercise called ‘Finding your Life Purpose’ that helped me. In class, we do this on day three of the course. You may not find the answer right there in meditation but guaranteed you will plant that seed in your subconscious mind which will start to germinate and over time your intuition will guide you and lead you on a path to find that thing that’s meant just for you.
My friend, you are not a mistake. You are a miracle. You absolutely are a miracle and you have a reason and purpose for being here. It’s your intuition that will guide you in your life to help you find your purpose.

The next Silva Method course coming up is on 12-15 September. I would love for you to join. To learn more about this topic of life purpose, listen to podcasts or YouTube videos, read books, or perhaps read my book. It’s a guide to discovering your purpose and your value in this world. My wish is that you discover your true purpose and your enormous value and make a meaningful contribution in this lifetime that leaves you fulfilled and content every single day.
Have a wonderful day and God bless.
