The Law of the Lid

The ‘21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership’ by John Maxwell, has got to be one of the best books I’ve ever read.

I would like to talk to you a little about chapter one in this book, which is called ‘The Law of the Lid’. John Maxwell talks about how each and every one of us has a lid, and that lid is our leadership ability. In other words, we all have infinite potential and let’s just say that it is a 10 out of 10. However if your leadership ability is currently only 3 out of 10, then your results can only rise up to that leadership lid level, so at the most your results would be a 2 or 3 out of 10.

How well you lead, determines how successful you are.

This is a ‘Law’, which means whether you believe in it or not, it applies, regardless. I am sharing this with you because it’s so important to know that how well you lead is going to determine how successful you are in your life.

If you would like to get results that are an 8 or 9 out of 10, you need to have a ‘leadership lid’ that is that high.

How do we know what our leadership lid score is?

If you want to know more about this, or you want to know how you can intentionally and deliberately develop your leadership ability, I would like to offer you a ‘Free Talk’ on ‘The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership’.  Good leadership, is more a learnt skill than a natural talent and it can be developed. What I’m offering is called a “lunch and learn”.  It is held at your workplace and runs for 35 to 45 minutes. You can provide food or each person brings their own lunch, the talk is inspirational and motivating, and it leaves you with an understanding of how you can become a better leader, based on The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership.

Over the years I have seen how developing a person’s leadership ability has taken people to greater heights. As a certified John Maxwell Team member, this is my passion and this is what I want for everyone, because not only do I believe in this, I know this. People with stronger leadership ability are better overall, they run better organisations, they are more caring, they operate from a heart-space, and they are great at casting vision, strategising, and mobilising a team to take direction and to execute.

If you want to know how to raise that lid or you want to know more about these ‘21 Laws of Leadership’, Please visit my website and I will be more than happy to come out and share my knowledge on leadership with you. It will be my absolute pleasure.

Otherwise my friends have a wonderful day and God bless.
